Hi Everyone! I am so excited to share my new site and my very first project. Today I am sharing a card I made using the new release from Catherine Pooler Designs. This release is all about fall and the many wonderful things it brings. My card shares a fun, whimsical theme of leaves blowing.
I originally thought I’d use some of the coffee cups but as I pulled out products for the base and tag I changed my mind. I started by cutting a piece of two-toned brown patterned paper and rounding the corners. Have you ever used a corner rounder on a card base? It was really hard to cut through!
I then decided to use my ink pad to do a direct to paper strip for the front using sand castle. I also did this for the tag using icing on the cake.
Here you can see my tag in sandcastle getting stamped over with the new blowing leaves background stamp in icing on the cake. The darker leaves really stand out. I will be using this background a lot more this season!
I finally started to glue all the base pieces together. When I had them all adhered I decided I needed a little extra to the right side of the tag, so I used buttercream ink direct to paper and then cut out a strip with the decorative edges dies. Another new favorite! I then started stamping, coloring, and die cutting my images. I at first didn’t have the apples but it was missing something.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. I hope to see you back here soon!
Cute card!
Thank you Elyse!
